Springside Primary School - Google Classroom - Disable/Enable student comments for the classroom.

 

Within Google Classroom students can communicate by creating a post or commenting on assignments or tasks. Teachers can disable or enable these features by following these steps:

 

1. Login to Google Classroom.

2. Click on the classroom you wish to administer.

3. Within the class click the settings cog in the top right.



 

4. On the settings screen scroll down until you reach the Stream and classwork sub section. You will have an option called Stream with a drop-down box, from this drop down box you can modify the students ability to post or comment.

Note: If you wish to leave student posts and comments enabled you can also mute individual students.

 

1. From the Classroom home screen, click on People.

2. On the next screen you can select the students you want to manage by using the tick box next to their name, once you have selected the student you will need to click the three horizontal dots and then mute.
