Springside Primary School - Microsoft Outlook - Filtering School DL Emails
The following guide with show you how to create a separate folder in Outlook and then create a rule that automatically moves School distribution list emails into that folder.
1. Within Outlook, right click your Inbox and select New Folder:
2. Create a name for the new folder and press enter, it should now appear just beneath your Inbox:
3. Now locate a distribution list email in your Inbox, you can confirm this by clicking on the email and looking at the To Field:
4. Right click the email and mouse over Rules to expand the menu and then click Always Move Messages To: DL Springside Primary School:
5. A Rules and Alerts window will pop up, select the new folder you created and click OK.
6. Outlook will now run the newly created rule and begin moving DL emails from your Inbox into the new folder, once the rule has finished running no further action is required, any future distribution list emails you receive will automatically move to the folder:
If you would like to disable or delete the rule follow these steps:
1. In Outlook, click File in the top left:
2. Click the Rules and Alerts option:
3. You can either disable the rule by unchecking the tick box or remove it by clicking Delete:
